Dabeeo, a geospatial information AI technology company, was recently selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s Offset Trade Recommended Item project in September, establishing a vital foothold for its expansion into the global market.

Offset trade refers to counter-trade in which, in exchange for importing weapons from abroad, the importing country requests technology transfers, local investments or cooperation to promote industrial development. Originally focused on the defense sector, offset trade has recently expanded to include civilian industries, opening new opportunities for Dabeeo.

The offset trade recommendation project led by the Ministry has expanded its scope beyond military supplies to include advanced industrial sectors. In this process, Dabeeo's AI-based geospatial information analysis service was selected as a recommended item in the aerospace field. Through this recognition, Dabeeo plans to secure various promotional opportunities in the global market and expand exports, leveraging the Ministry's endorsement when engaging with foreign companies involved in offset trade.

Dabeeo possesses advanced analytical technology that converts geospatial information from various image sources—such as satellites, aircraft and drones—into digital data through its proprietary deep learning algorithms. The company specializes in five AI-based core technologies: Super Resolution, Object Detection and Classification, Instance Segmentation, 3D Reconstruction and Change Detection. With its innovative geospatial information analysis platform, Dabeeo Eartheye, which won the CES2022 Innovation Award, the company has achieved remarkable results in various fields, including urban and national infrastructure management, smart city planning, agriculture monitoring and defense surveillance and reconnaissance.

Additionally, Dabeeo has been broadening its presence in the defense sector. Last year, it was selected as one of the top 100 Defense Innovation Companies due to its proven 3D reconstruction and data modeling technology, a key element in establishing future battlefield monitoring systems. In the first half of this year, Dabeeo became the first company to receive investment from the Defense Innovation Technology Investment Consortium Fund No.1. This solidifies its credibility and strengthens its position within the defense industry. The selection in the offset trade project is expected to further accelerate the company's global market expansion.
