Dabeeo, a geospatial AI company specializing in satellite image analysis, will officially launch its next-generation smart monitoring platform, Dabeeo Eartheye Plantation, this July. The launch marks a significant milestone since the company became the world’s first to commercialize AI-based analysis of ultra-high-resolution (30cm) satellite imagery for forestry and plantation management in 2023.

The new platform is designed with a dual structure—web and mobile—enabling seamless management of the entire plantation operation process, from office-based administrators to on-site field workers.

 

Web Platform for AI Analysis: Enhanced Visibility and Analytical Precision

 

The previous version of the platform focused on palm tree detection, health classification, and tree-level change detection. The upgraded version significantly expands these capabilities.

 

It features AI-powered super-resolution technology that enhances 30cm satellite imagery to approximately 7.5cm, achieving a level of detail comparable to drone imagery. New functions include automatic detection of high-density planting areas and support for uploading user-captured drone footage with AI-powered object detection.

 

A key upgrade is the construction of a 3D data model for the entire plantation, introducing land suitability analysis powered by a digital twin approach. This includes zonal solar radiation estimation, ephemeral river detection, flood risk mapping, and slope-based grading—all of which help operators prioritize the most critical blocks within a plantation.

 

Notably, the platform has also been optimized for poor network environments such as rural Indonesia. High-volume geospatial data is now visualized through lightweight rendering methods, enabling fast access and usability even in bandwidth-limited conditions.

 

Field Mobile App: Offline Smart Reporting and AI-Based Harvest Management

 

Alongside the web platform, Dabeeo will release a dedicated mobile app for field workers. One of the major challenges in plantation management has been not only identifying problem trees or road damage but also effectively guiding workers to those locations.

 

To address this, the mobile app allows satellite imagery to be pre-downloaded for offline use in remote plantations. With integrated GPS-based navigation, workers can be accurately guided to AI-detected issue locations even without network access. All reports created in the field are automatically synced once a connection is restored.

 

The app also supports real-time location tracking to verify task compliance and includes an easy interface for reporting damaged roads or inaccessible areas.

 

A standout feature is the AI-powered fruit ripeness classification module for harvested oil palm fruit. Using just a standard smartphone camera, field workers can determine the ripeness level with high accuracy. This not only streamlines quality control but also provides a reliable basis for evaluating individual worker performance.

 

In pilot tests, the proportion of "mature" fruit harvested increased significantly, resulting in a 12.5% boost in palm oil productivity. This extension of AI capability—from satellite and drone imagery to the most common device in the field, the smartphone—is gaining considerable attention across the industry.

 

Delivering Practical Solutions for Digital Transformation
