Expanding Spatial Data Utilization for Mobility Services with AI-Powered Indoor Mapping Technology

Dabeeo, a Vision AI–based data intelligence company led by CEO Ju Hum Park, has begun providing indoor map data APIs for major department stores and shopping malls across Korea to Kakao Mobility. This collaboration enhances a user-centric smart navigation environment within the KakaoT app.

With this integration, KakaoT users can now see detailed floor layouts and store information inside their destination, along with the app’s search and route guidance functions. Visitors to large-scale complexes such as department stores and shopping malls can check precise indoor locations directly within the app, enabling a seamless navigation experience from arrival to moving around inside the venue.

Dabeeo leads the domestic retail sector in indoor map data coverage, backed by its AI-powered spatial data digital transformation technology and highly efficient digital map solutions. Leveraging these strengths, the company serves as a key data provider for indoor maps on both Naver Map and Kakao Map, further strengthening its market position. The partnership with Kakao Mobility is particularly significant as it expands Dabeeo’s data supply scope beyond mapping platforms into mobility services.

Beyond digital map creation, Dabeeo provides spatial information application services, including digital signage and location-based wayfinding. The company is continuing to expand its services to various commercial facilities, exhibition venues, tourist attractions, large offices, hospitals, and public institutions. As a result, the utilization of spatial data through API integration is expected to grow steadily.
