Dabeeo Drives Digital Innovation in Traditional Markets, Starting with Gwangmyeong
2025-01-20 조회수 127
Geospatial information AI technology company Dabeeo has announced plans to expand its digital spatial information guide services for visitors and foreign tourists at major traditional markets across the nation. This follows the successful completion of its digital map development and QR-based mobile navigation service for Gwangmyeong Traditional Market last year.
Dabeeo built a mobile digital map service that provides location information and navigation for all shops in Gwangmyeong Traditional Market. Users can simply scan QR codes displayed throughout the market with their mobile devices to access the service instantly. This allows first-time visitors to easily find shop and facility information, enhancing the convenience of market exploration.
The service categorizes the densely packed shops into groups such as seafood, meat, dried goods, fruits and vegetables, side dishes and miscellaneous items. These categories are visually represented with intuitive icons and shop names, improving visibility. This design addresses the previous challenge where shop names alone made it difficult to identify the products being sold, helping customers locate desired items with ease. The map also incorporates actual street names like "Red Street" and "Blue Street," enabling users to intuitively recognize and navigate the market's layout. Additional features include information on parking lots, restrooms, nearby roads, and Gwangmyeong Sageori Station, further enhancing user convenience.
Dabeeo plans to gradually expand its dedicated mapping services for traditional markets, starting with Gwangmyeong Traditional Market. The company also aims to support multilingual services for foreign visitors. Future initiatives include collaborating with institutions and local governments to develop platforms that promote traditional markets and integrate digital solutions.
Meanwhile, Dabeeo's spatial information guide services are offered across mobile, PC and kiosk platforms. These services are already actively used in various commercial facilities, such as major department stores, shopping malls, supermarkets, exhibition halls, and tourist attractions as well as in hospitals and other institutions.
